Front Counter Staff
Tangs is an extremely busy fast food takeaway. We take online orders from our own App, Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber and Foodhub, as well as orders over the telephone and walk-in customers.
Role:
Will be to process orders from the online terminals and input them into another till system for the kitchen.
All telephone and walk- in orders will also be processed in the same way.
There will be card payments to process over the telephone and walk-in. As well as cash payments.
You will have to occasionally help with managing the food deliveries that we give to drivers.
Keep the counter clean and tidy, replenish drinks and other duties
Communicate with drivers and kitchen staff about orders.
Applicant:
- Must be committed, reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- Experience working in similar role preferred
- Experience working with Just Eat, Deliveroo, Foodhub or Uber preferred
- Computer literate skills an essential and accuracy important for inputting orders correctly.
- Training will be provided
- Attention to detail as customers will leave notes on orders which needs to be communicated to kitchen.
- Excellent customer service skills, in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to communicate well with customers over the telephone, taking orders as well as confidence dealing with queries and complaints.
- Ability to multi-task is essential.
- Must have good organisational skills as during busy periods there are a lot of orders to manage.
- Must be able to use own initiative, think outside the box.
- Practical thinking skills essential.
- Ability to work fast and work under pressure important.
- Ability to work well as a team.
- Knowledge of local area an advantage.
We are looking for a mature, outgoing , friendly, confident, honest and trustworthy person to join our team.
Candidate to cover Saturday and Sunday shifts when experienced. Initial training conducted over week day shifts.
Must be available to cover shifts on occasions as and when requested.
Shifts:
Full shift 4.30pm - 10pm
Half shift 4.30pm - 8pm or later
Salary: From £13 hour up to £13.50 hour depending on age and experience.
