Job description
We are looking to recruit a Product Cost Analyst to join our existing team. Working in the Commercial Department this role is to provide assistance to the Costing Manager supporting the business in product cost calculation and cost data analysis. The ideal candidate for this role would be highly motivated and used to working in a fast-paced environment, a person with an eye for detail, good data input skills and a good level understanding of Excel.
This is a fully office based position in the centre of Rochdale.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Costing Manager in the running of the costing department
- Calculation of new product costs
- Review costs of current product and impact of component changes
- Analyse and report on company data streams to set schedules
- Verbal and electronic communication with all levels of the business
- Data input onto company IT systems
Suitable applicants should have:
- An enthusiastic & professional manner
- Must be fully conversant with Microsoft Outlook
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel and the ability to effectively use functions and formulas, especially VLOOKUPs
- Educated to GCSE level English and strong in maths
- Good communication skills are essential
- Excellent telephone/ interpersonal skills
- Fluent English skills both written & verbal
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Good time management and ability to work to deadlines
- Must be able to work on initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once
