About the role:
justteachers are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs in a specialist education setting in Grantham. This full-time, long-term role is available in September and offers a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require a high level of tailored support.
You will work as part of a skilled and supportive team, providing essential assistance to pupils with a range of needs including severe learning difficulties, ASD, physical disabilities, and communication challenges. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in a specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex and multiple learning needs
Assist in delivering highly personalised learning activities
Support pupils with communication, sensory needs, and engagement in learning
Help implement care plans, including personal care where required
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to support holistic development
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the wider team
Pre-requisites:
Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (highly desirable)
A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical and emotional resilience to support pupils with high levels of need
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and care
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications in education, care, or SEN support are advantageous
Pay: £97.68-£108.65 per day
