Job Summary
We are family run Industrial Electrical Contractors offering Air Conditioning as part of our remit. Due to the retirement of our current engineer we are seeking a part time dynamic and skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of Air Conditioning systems across various facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting air conditioning units and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environments for our clients and staff.
Duties
- Install, commission, and upgrade air conditioning systems for our diverse customer base, predominantly within the industrial, commercial and education sectors.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on air conditioning equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with air conditioning units, including compressors, fans, filters, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Working alongside our electrical engineers with a can-do attitude, representing our business in a positive manner and maintaining our exemplary reputation within the industry
Experience
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems related to air conditioning equipment repair.
- F-Gas certification.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts for air conditioning installations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently using own initiative and problem solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical controls, refrigeration components, and ventilation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in maintaining air conditioning systems across diverse environments.
