Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide high-quality support to individuals in care home and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with personal care, daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of those in their care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Follow personalised care plans to meet each individual's specific needs
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for those in your care
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Use IT systems to document care activities and update records accurately
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required
Qualifications
- Experience working in home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Care certificate is desirable but not essential
- Valid driving licence is essential
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
- IT literacy to manage documentation and care plans efficiently
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
