Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Amada 5-axis press brake, producing precision sheet metal components from raw material through to final inspection. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality fabrication of metal parts used in a variety of applications.

Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate press brake machine according to job specifications, ensuring accurate bends and formations to fine tolerances.
- Operate press brakes safely and efficiently to produce high-quality sheet metal parts
- Load and unload sheet materials, checking correct grades and thicknesses.
- Adjust tooling and die configurations based on project requirements, utilizing hand tools and basic math skills
- Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensions, and adherence to specifications, using measuring equipment including verniers, protractors and engineers’ squares.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine proper setup procedures
- Complete quality control checks and documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist with fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, and assembly when necessary to support production goals
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a press brake setter/operator with a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes. Experience with Amada press brake equipment would be advantageous but not essential.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and use hand tools effectively
- Familiarity with tooling selection, setup procedures, and safety protocols for press brake operations
- Experience working to tight tolerances and producing precision components
- Basic math skills for measurements, angles, and calculations related to bending operations and confidence using manual measuring equipment, including verniers, squares and protractors.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques including grinding, welding, and assembly is highly desirable
- Ability to work with sheet metal materials confidently and handle various hand tools safely
- Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and the ability to follow precise instructions
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
