Are you a caring, creative and enthusiastic person who loves bringing joy to the lives of others? The Knights Retirement Home is looking for a passionate Activities Co-ordinator to join our friendly team and help create meaningful experiences for our residents.
This rewarding role is all about making every day special. You'll organise and deliver a varied programme of activities that encourage social interaction, promote wellbeing, and help residents continue enjoying the hobbies and interests they love.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging daily activities and events
- Encouraging residents to take part in meaningful and enjoyable experiences
- Organising themed celebrations, entertainment, outings and community activities
- Supporting residents on a one-to-one basis as well as in group settings
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, staff and local community groups
- Keeping activity records and ensuring programmes meet residents' individual needs and preferences
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a warm, friendly and caring nature
- Is organised, creative and full of ideas
- Enjoys working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in activities, care or a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential
