You will work as part of our dairy production team to look after the production and packaging of finished milk and cream.
Main responsibilities are:
- Operate filling machinery within the dairy including glass, plastic and bulk containers.
- Understand and undertake daily cleaning/hygiene duties.
- Maintain and upkeep systems & procedures for product safety, quality control and Health & Safety.
- Maintain and upkeep systems & procedures to ensure a safe, clean and tidy working environment; adhering to hygiene standards, procedures and “clean as you go” policy.
- Ensure that processing plant and equipment is in safe working condition and to report any defects immediately.
- Ensure that the wastage is kept to a minimum.
Salary is competitive, based on experience.
Production days are currently Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (10 hours) but are likely to become Mon-Fri (9 hours).
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a food processing environment.
- Competency in operating dairy filling equipment.
- Competency and understanding of food hygiene and cleaning.
Education and qualifications:
Operational knowledge of food processing and associated training is essential. Ideally have previous experience in Food Hygiene & HACCP and in Health & Safety.
