HGV Technician – Hemel Hempstead
A well-established and rapidly growing fleet maintenance company with multiple depots across the UK is currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Hemel Hempstead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking to join a professional business offering excellent rates of pay, overtime opportunities, and long-term career stability.
Key Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing inspections and defect reporting in line with DVSA standards
- Working efficiently to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety standards
- Maintaining accurate job records and paperwork
- Supporting the workshop team to ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes
Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Technician role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of HGV systems, components, and industry regulations
- A proactive and reliable attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
