We’re looking for an experienced Assembly Fitter to join our workshop team at Oakleaf Forestry. This is a practical, hands-on role involving the fitting and assembly of components and machinery, working from drawings and instructions, and helping ensure finished equipment is built to a high standard.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in the production process, operating CNC plasma cutting machinery to produce high-quality steel components used in fabrication and bespoke machinery builds.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble and fit components, parts and machinery within our workshop
- Work from engineering drawings, instructions and specifications
- Carry out general fitting, drilling, bolting and mechanical assembly work
- Check finished work for quality, accuracy and correct fit
- Work alongside our fabrication and engineering teams to keep jobs moving
- Help identify and resolve practical fitting or assembly issues
