Freelance Security Business Development Manager – UK Remote
About SecurLink
SecurLink helps UK security companies generate qualified sales opportunities and win more contracts. We support established providers of manned guarding, construction-site security, CCTV and surveillance, mobile patrols, keyholding, vacant-property protection, event security and related services.
The opportunity
We are looking for experienced security-industry business development professionals to work with us on a flexible, non-exclusive freelance basis. Your focus will be starting credible conversations with decision-makers and booking genuinely qualified meetings for our security-company clients.
This is a results-based freelance opportunity rather than salaried employment. The fee is £200 for each qualified meeting that meets the written acceptance criteria. Indeed requires a standard daily pay label, but this is not a £200 daily wage; payment is per accepted qualified meeting. The qualification criteria and working terms will be agreed in writing before any work begins.
What you will do
Identify organisations that purchase commercial security services.
Speak with facilities managers, procurement teams, construction companies, property managers, housing providers and other decision-makers.
Conduct outreach by telephone, email and LinkedIn.
Establish the prospect’s security requirements and qualify genuine opportunities.
Book meetings between qualified prospects and our security-company clients.
Follow up warm leads and maintain accurate notes in the agreed tracking system.
Identify relevant tenders, frameworks, subcontracting opportunities and upcoming contract renewals.
Work with SecurLink on targeting, messaging and campaign improvement.
Essential experience
Direct professional experience within the UK private-security industry.
Previous business development, sales, contract management, account growth or appointment-setting experience.
Working knowledge of services such as manned guarding, CCTV, mobile patrols, keyholding, construction-site security, access control or vacant-property protection.
Confidence speaking with senior decision-makers and discussing commercial security requirements.
Evidence of generating meetings, developing accounts, supporting bids or winning contracts.
Strong telephone, email, LinkedIn and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working remotely.
UK-based and able to contact UK businesses during normal business hours.
What we provide
Clearly defined client services and target markets.
Prospect research, marketing support and campaign materials.
Agreed criteria for what counts as a qualified meeting.
Transparent payment terms documented before work begins.
Flexible, remote working with no exclusivity requirement.
Opportunities to support multiple security businesses as our client base grows.
This role may suit a current or former Security Business Development Manager, Security Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, Account Manager, Security Consultant or security-sector appointment setter.
