Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic sports Journalism student to join our dynamic media team. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in news reporting, multimedia content creation, and social media management. Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and developing news stories across various topics
- Support the creation of written articles, reports, and features for print and online platforms
- Edit videos using Adobe Premiere and other video editing software to produce compelling visual content
- Utilise Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for designing graphics, layouts, and visual materials
- Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analysing audience metrics
- Translate articles or content as needed, leveraging bilingual skills if applicable
- Contribute to the organisation of interviews, press releases, and media events
- Collaborate with senior journalists and editors to ensure timely publication of stories
- Maintain organised records of research materials, drafts, and multimedia assets
Experience
- Currently enrolled as a student in a journalism or related media programme
- Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Experience with video editing and social media management is desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of journalistic standards, ethics, and best practices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for storytelling across multiple platforms with a keen eye for detail
