Job Purpose
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across student accommodation buildings, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
We are seeking reliable staff who are available for short-term assignments of one to two weeks to assist with end-of-tenancy cleaning projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise communal areas, including corridors, stairwells, lounges, kitchens, and study spaces
- Clean student bedrooms and bathrooms during changeovers and as scheduled
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
- Clean floors (vacuuming, mopping, sweeping) and hard surfaces
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns promptly
- Follow health & safety, COSHH, and infection control guidelines at all times
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly and safely
- Support deep cleans during peak periods (e.g. summer turnarounds)
- Work respectfully around students, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Skills & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures

Working Conditions

Pay: £12.71 per hour
