We are looking for a passionate and talented practitioner to join our dedicated team working within the Primary Learning Support Department as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
As a HLTA, you will offer 1:1 and small group interventions as well as covering classes when required.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of Learning Support Assistants based within our primary academy - King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO) and our all-through academy-King’s Academy Binfield (KAB). You would be predominately based in the primary phase but there might be occasional times where you are needed to support in the opposing phase.
The HLTA will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).
Our all-through school opened in a superb new building in September 2018 and we have grown year on year. In addition to the secondary phase, we also have two primary phases set across two sites, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO). From September 2023, we had students from year N to year 6 in primary and year 7 through to year 11. Our new 6th form provision, KAB6, opened in September 2023, we had our first cohort of year 13 students from September 2024.
The post is for 35.42 hours per week (term time only plus 2 days). Hours of work will be 8.15am – 3.50pm, Monday to Friday.
