The role of an Injection Moulding Operator is -
Operation of injection moulding machine, either in Fully Automatic / Semi-Automatic mode.
Ensuring that the parts produced are to the quality standard set.
Maintain Cleanliness on the shop floor, surrounding area of the machines and outside.
Everyone is expected to help one other throughout the shifts and work as a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure product is to the quality standard set and following the ISOP – TP03
- Perform delegated tasks following the SOP – TP03
- Ensure all boxes / bags are stacked correctly using the correct packaging [follow the SOP]
- Monitor for any defects during production, signing the Analysis Sheet every hour to confirm parts are to the quality standard set and informing QA of any issues
- Ensure that product is clearly identified if NOT to the standard set and information logged onto the 4M board
- Notifying the Technician if any issues within the moulding process
- Source required packaging yourself when needed – Pallets, Boxes and Bags
- Print Product Labels
- Maintain cleanliness on the shop floor, surrounding area of the machines and outside – 5S
- Ensure the work station has sufficient packaging for the next shift
- Print sufficient box Labels for your allocated machines
- Grinding sprues in dedicated grinder
- Placing rejects into red bins and logging onto the Analysis Sheet, once authorised parts can be taken from the machine and put down the dedicated grinder / storage container
- Reporting hourly shot count on the Analysis Sheet
- Ensuring you give good Communicate/feedback throughout your shift and on the shift handover
- Good timekeeping and attendance.

- Be knowledgeable of health and safety and environmental requirements specific to your department and the factory.
- Ensure all requirements are met and strictly adhered to.
- Ensure that hazardous waste is properly disposed of and that other wastes are properly segregated.
- Never compromise employee’s health or safety under any circumstances.
