About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Intelligence Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality intelligence products across one of our regional or thematic teams.
Reporting to a Deputy Director, the Intelligence Manager will be responsible for managing a team of intelligence professionals, overseeing the production of analytical outputs and ensuring reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy, relevance and insight.
This is a leadership role requiring a strong intelligence background, combining analytical expertise, editorial oversight, team management and the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable intelligence. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing team capability, improving reporting processes and supporting the continued growth of our intelligence function.
Key Responsibilities
The Intelligence Manager will oversee the production, review and delivery of intelligence reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, well structured and provide meaningful analysis of political, security and geopolitical developments.
You will lead and develop a team of analysts and researchers, providing direction, managing workloads, supporting professional development and ensuring delivery against agreed priorities and deadlines.
The role will involve providing guidance on intelligence collection and research priorities, ensuring teams are focused on the information requirements that matter most. You will use a range of intelligence sources, including open-source information, to develop informed assessments and support high-quality reporting.
You will work closely with colleagues across intelligence, data and technical functions to improve the presentation, accessibility and analytical value of intelligence products. This includes supporting the development of new products, incorporating data-driven insights and ensuring complex information is communicated effectively.
The Intelligence Manager will maintain strong subject matter awareness of the relevant region or thematic area, monitoring emerging developments and ensuring reporting reflects key trends, actors and strategic implications.
You will also contribute to capability development across the intelligence function, supporting training, mentoring and the sharing of best practice in intelligence analysis, reporting and research methodologies.
About You
You will be an experienced intelligence professional with a strong background in intelligence analysis, assessment or reporting. You may have gained experience within government, defence, security, intelligence, geopolitical risk, research or a related analytical environment.
You will have experience producing or managing intelligence outputs and be comfortable assessing complex information from multiple sources to develop clear, balanced and insightful analysis.
You will have experience manging, leading and mentoring analysts or researchers and will be confident setting priorities, managing competing demands and maintaining high standards of delivery.
You will have strong written and editorial skills, with the ability to improve the clarity, structure and impact of analytical products. Experience with OSINT methodologies, data analysis, geospatial tools or other intelligence capabilities would be advantageous.
You will be adaptable, organised and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You will bring intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality intelligence.
Essential Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working in an intelligence, analytical, security, defence, government or geopolitical risk environment.
- Experience producing, reviewing or managing intelligence assessments, reports or analytical products.
- Experience leading, mentoring or developing intelligence analysts or researchers.
- Strong analytical judgement and the ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources.
- Excellent written communication and editorial skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to deadlines.
