The Whitebrook is a Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms nestled in the Wye Valley, Monmouthshire. Our cooking is deeply rooted in the landscape around us, combining exceptional Welsh and British produce with a strong focus on seasonality, sustainability and most importantly, foraging.
We work closely with local farmers, growers and producers, while incorporating a wide range of wild ingredients from the surrounding countryside and river valleys. Our menus are constantly evolving with the seasons, allowing the team to explore ingredients at their best and develop creative, thoughtful dishes.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate reservations and manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
- Provide attentive and personalized service throughout the dining experience, anticipating guest needs
- Upsell menu items and wine selections to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue opportunities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and food safety standards to answer guest inquiries confidently
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and uphold high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously, striving to exceed expectations at every touchpoint
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Uphold cleanliness and safety protocols in line with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage time effectively throughout to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, with a strong focus on guest service excellence
- Knowledge of food safety practices and basic food handling procedures
- Previous serving experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and reservations accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility within the restaurant environment
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
- Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully while maintaining genuine guest engagement

Pay: £25,420.00-£43,319.85 per year
