Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Develop personalised learning plans in collaboration with parents and colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour using an online learning journal
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities
- Organise preschool resources and materials to support curriculum delivery
- Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership skills within the preschool setting
- Support children's social skills development through positive guidance and interaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children, preferably within nursery or early childhood education settings
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, early childhood development, and nursery practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- English and Maths GCSE C or above or equivalent to.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are essential.
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively within a team
