Therapy Practitioner – Therapeutic Children's Homes

Full-time | 40 hours per week
£32,000 – £39,500 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
What We're Looking For
- Experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people
- Understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-informed practice
- Knowledge of CBT and/or DBT-informed approaches
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between homes
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills

The Role
As a Therapy Practitioner, you'll work as part of our multidisciplinary therapeutic team, delivering both direct therapeutic interventions and indirect support to residential staff. You'll help embed therapeutic thinking across our homes, ensuring every child receives consistent, evidence-informed care tailored to their individual needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions
- Supporting children with emotional regulation, coping strategies and resilience
- Completing therapeutic assessments and contributing to care planning
- Developing and reviewing Therapeutic Support Plans
- Supporting residential teams to implement trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
- Providing coaching, mentoring and reflective practice sessions for staff
- Attending Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings and other multidisciplinary meetings
- Working collaboratively with CAMHS, Local Authorities, education providers and other professionals
- Maintaining high-quality clinical records, reports and outcome measures
- Supporting Positive Behaviour Support planning and therapeutic risk management
