Job Summary
As a House Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running and development of our supported accommodation homes. Working closely with the Supported Accommodation Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, ensure high standards of care and compliance, and provide direct support to young people. You’ll foster a nurturing environment that promotes wellbeing, development and future aspirations, while also supporting colleague development and embodying our core values in everything you do.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operation of the home. Oversee and tailor support plans, safety plans and intervention plans. Build strong relationships with young people, adults, families, colleagues and external agencies. Ensure each individual’s voice is central to decision-making. Support colleague development through training, feedback and guidance. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Act as deputy to the Registered Service Manager when required. Promote education, personal development and life skills among young people and adults. Actively encourage young people and adults to participate in decisions that affect them
Experience
- Hold, or be working towards, a Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma for Children, Young People and Families Practitioners. Hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 qualification in Children, Young People and Families Management. Have at least 2 years’ experience working in children’s social care, supported accommodation or a similar setting. Have knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation and best practice in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection. Have proven leadership experience in a care or support setting. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families and external stakeholders.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people and adults. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities effectively. Flexibility to work on a shift basis.

Pay: £24,420.00-£42,000.00 per year
