We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN or RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You’ll be working 42 hours a week (Days, Nights and Alternative weekends) at Cygnet Pindar House.
Cygnet Pindar House is a hospital setting with male patients affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntington’s Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.
The service is a modern purpose-built facility, designed specifically to provide a clinically-led evidence-based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge. Our focus is to create a therapeutic rich environment to engage the men in our care and offer them the opportunity to maximise their independence.
Our in-house Neuropsychiatry interdisciplinary team are able to support those with complex physical health needs and we have bedrooms located on the ground floor for men with mobility impairments.
Our person-centred approach puts the individual at the centre of their care and discharge planning. The service offers a wide range of activities and facilities to promote independent function. Positive behaviour goals are focused on discharge planning to support service users to return to community living – either with support or independently.
Your day to day -
Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
- Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
You are…
- Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
- Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN with a current Pin Number
- Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
- Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
- Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
- Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
- Helping to empower & support service user independence.
