Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and organising ingredients
- Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes according to standards
- Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene throughout all tasks
- Help with meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen supervisors
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Contribute positively to the team environment by demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
