Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team in Winchester.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enjoys working in a close-knit retail environment. An interest in photography and video would be a real advantage, but retail experience is essential.
Key skills & experience would be a proven experience in a retail environment, good ICT literacy; knowledge of Photoshop is desirable, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, smart, professional appearance and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Offer knowledgeable advice on products and services to meet customer needs
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store remains attractive and organised
- Restock shelves and manage stock levels efficiently
- Handle customer enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Support in organising promotional displays and seasonal events
- Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
