The Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our transport team and oversee the day-to-day coordination of our delivery operation.
This is a key position within WF Supplies, acting as the vital link between our drivers, transport team, sales department and customers. You will play an important role in ensuring that deliveries are planned and executed efficiently, safely and on time.
Your primary objective will be to ensure that every delivery reaches site on time and in full, while responding quickly and effectively to any issues that arise throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Coordinating and communicating with drivers throughout their working day.
· Liaising closely with the Sales Team regarding deliveries, schedules and customer requirements.
· Arranging additional or external transport when required.
· Preparing the daily routing schedule, including checking weights, delivery dates and any specific delivery requirements.
· Planning and coordinating collections from suppliers and customer sites.
· Managing communication and feedback between drivers and the Sales Team.
· Completing the daily routing process, consolidating orders and planning appropriate vehicle loads and delivery schedules for the following day.
· Managing delivery issues through the relevant reporting process, including communicating, producing and advising on “green forms”.
· Ensuring drivers have completed their deliveries and that all collections are appropriately booked in.
· Booking deliveries and collections and communicating any special requirements to the relevant teams.
· Completing and maintaining driver information following the routing process, including start times, vehicle details and required paperwork.
· Supporting the wider transport operation to ensure an efficient, customer-focused service.
· Identifying and resolving operational issues promptly and effectively.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident working in a fast-paced transport environment and has strong organisational and communication skills.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
· Previous experience in a Transport Supervisor or similar transport coordination role.
· A good understanding of transport operations and day-to-day delivery planning.
· Basic knowledge and understanding of transport compliance – essential.
· Experience using Merlin is advantageous.
· Experience using MaxOptra is advantageous.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers, colleagues, customers and other departments.
· Strong organisational and administrative skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Good time management skills.
· A positive, team-focused approach.
· A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and delivering a high-quality service.
· The ability to remain calm, proactive and solution-focused when dealing with operational challenges.

Location & Working Arrangements
Location: Andover, SP10
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Andover or be willing to relocate before starting work.
Experience required: Minimum 1 year in a transport supervisory role.
