Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Operation Executive who is fluent in Mandarin to oversee and optimise warehouse activities within our logistics and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse processes, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient utilisation of systems such as ERP, WMS, and AS400. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong supervisory experience and a keen interest in process improvement to contribute to organisational success.
Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
- Manage transportation logistics through Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities and recommend strategies for financial optimisation.
- Utilise forklift trucks safely for material handling and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to streamline processes and improve overall logistics performance.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities, inventory levels, and system data entry using AS400 and other relevant systems.
- Support process improvement projects aimed at enhancing warehouse workflows and implementing best practices within the organisation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a strong understanding of warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and forklift operation.
- Supervising experience is essential; previous leadership roles in warehousing or supply chain environments are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, AS400, 3PL coordination, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of profit & loss management within a logistics context.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required; fluency in English is also necessary for communication within the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and adapt to evolving operational demands.
