ALS People are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Mobile Waste Operative to join our team in Ipswich and cover multiple sites across Suffolk. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient collection, sorting, and disposal of waste materials. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail, as well as a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate waste collection vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of various types of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of waste materials from vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Report any issues or hazards encountered during operations to the supervisor promptly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational targets.

Hours: 0845-1715, 30 minutes unpaid break
Thursday 845-1915
Winter hours 0845-16:15
Overtime paid at £19.07ph
Shift pattern: 5 days per week, including weekends
Mileage pay: £0.55 per mile (car), fist 5 miles per trip are unpaid
Travel time paid £19.07ph after 30 minutes
Weekly pay every Friday
Temp to perm
