About us
Lewtrenchard Manor is a 16-bedroom Jacobean country house hotel set in the heart of Devon, part of The Original Collection. Our restaurant, Origin, is built on the produce of our own kitchen garden and the best of local provenance. We're a warm, close-knit team who take real pride in giving every guest a memorable stay.
The role
We're looking for a Front of House Team Member to join us. This is a guest-facing role across our restaurant, bar, and lounge — serving food and drink, looking after guests, and helping every visit feel effortless and special.
Above everything else, we're looking for the right attitude. Skills can be taught; a positive, can-do outlook can't. If you bring energy, warmth, and a genuine willingness to muck in and get things done, we'd love to hear from you.
Not local? We can help. Staff housing is available to assist with relocation, so this role is well within reach even if you're further afield.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming and looking after guests with warmth and attentiveness
- Serving food and drinks across the restaurant, bar, and lounge
- Setting up and clearing tables to a high standard
- Answering guest questions about our menu, garden, and local produce
- Working closely with the kitchen and wider team to keep service running smoothly
- Helping create the kind of experience that brings guests back
What we're looking for

- A friendly, approachable manner and genuine care for guests
- Willingness to learn and take pride in your work
- A team player who's happy to lend a hand wherever needed
- Reliability and a smart, presentable appearance
- Previous hospitality experience is welcome but not essential — full training given
