About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing construction company to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator.
Based in Pencoed, this role involves working on fast-paced refurbishment and shopfitting projects across the leisure and hospitality sectors. Projects are delivered across South and Mid Wales, the South West, and the Midlands.
This is a varied position combining both pre- and post-contract responsibilities, with an opportunity to contribute to project management and the wider day-to-day operations of the business. You will be joining a close-knit team where flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach are key.
Key Responsibilities
Manage both pre-contract estimating and post-contract quantity surveying duties
Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and tender returns
Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance
Assess variations, valuations, and final accounts
Support the delivery of fast-track refurbishment and fit-out projects
Assist with project management activities where required
Contribute to the smooth running of projects and business operations
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Requirements
Experience in both estimating and quantity surveying within construction
Background in refurbishment, fit-out, or shopfitting projects is advantageous
Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
Good communication and organisational abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
Full UK driving licence
