About the Role
As a Test Technician you will oversee and manage the testing of all production assemblies. This is a hands-on role, requiring a deep understanding of cable assembly manufacturing, automated test equipment, electronic diagnostics and calibration procedures.
Responsibilities
· Design and Develop ATE programs and procedures to validate production assemblies.
· Design, build and maintain custom test jigs and fixtures to support production testing requirements.
· Conduct first off testing to verify both testing and manufacturing processes.
· Diagnose faults down to component level.
· Communicating clearly with production operators to resolve manufacturing faults.
· Maintain test documentation including test specifications, reports and procedures.
· Manage the calibration schedule of all production tools and equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with all procedures is met.
· Perform on-site calibration of tools and organise external calibration services as required.
· Work closely with Engineering and Quality departments to continuously improve test processes and reliability.
· Train and support production staff in the use of test equipment and tooling.
Preferred Skills
· Excellent communication skills and ability to form relationships with multicultural colleagues (must have excellent written and spoken English skills).
· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and priorities.
· Computer literate with good fundamental knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 workspace.
· Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
