Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Lunch Cover to support our early childhood education team. This role involves supervising children during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and staff. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and behaviour management
- Assist children with eating and encourage healthy eating habits
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the dining area
- Support children in socialising and developing their social skills during lunch periods
- Communicate effectively with nursery staff regarding children's needs or behavioural concerns
- Follow nursery policies and procedures related to child safety and wellbeing
- Support the transition of children from playtime to lunchtime routines
- Assist with any additional childcare duties as required by the nursery team
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare practices
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with young children, including understanding their developmental needs
- Valid driving licence is desirable

The hours of this job will be Monday - Friday 11:30am - 2pm.
