Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Driver to join our dynamic logistics and facilities team.
Our focus will always be on safety and compliance - ensuring that our high standards are continued
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and manoeuvre a wide range of vehicles (Ranging from cars & vans to Bespoke HGV's)
- Follow legal requirements for driving - including walk around checks - defect reporting etc
- Maintain high standards of working safely and considering those around you
- Keep workshop and yards safe, clean and tidy for all other staff to ensure work safe home safe principles
- Helping where possible
- Checking routes to ensure minimal down time
- Moving vehicles from customer sites to CPM and returning them when completed
- Presenting vehicle at MOT test stations
- Presenting vehicles for Steam clean process
- Understanding different site PPE / HSE requirements and always following them
- Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, knowledge and experience of driving a range of vehicles
- Strong driving skills with a valid HGV license and relevant certifications for commercial driving
- Knowledge of safety regulations related the transport industry
- Excellent route planning abilities and familiarity with GPS navigation tools
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as helping move equipment / vehicles
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
- Prior experience in customer service / front line vehicle support an advantage
