Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress, ensuring effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor any changes in health conditions.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with the team.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
