The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a background in electrical
engineering to join our team in a hybrid role combining office-based administration with on-
site project deployment. You’ll oversee contract administration and key documentation
submittals, ensuring full compliance with project and regulatory requirements, while working
closely with designers, civils operations, and senior management to deliver schemes on time
and to spec.
Key Responsibilities
- Organising job site packs for civils and jointing gangs
- Arranging Section 50 licences, opening notices, and road/pathway closures
- Overseeing site set-up and traffic management compliance
- Liaising with DNO/IDNO to submit required paperwork, including As-Laid drawings,
CAD drawings, and compliance folders
- Monitoring and tracking project planning and delivery progress
- Collaborating with utility designers, civils operations, and senior management to
deliver schemes
- Managing project material ordering and preparation
- Assisting with profit and loss tracking for projects
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in utilities operations management
- Strong skills in risk assessment, conflict resolution, and DNO/IDNO compliance
- Experience in project management, budget monitoring, and cost planning
- Familiarity with the utilities sector, particularly electrical infrastructure
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with site management systems such as Dashpivot and Sitemate
- Background in engineering or electrical engineering preferred
- Previous experience in construction, engineering, or utilities project management is
beneficial
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Watford WD25 8HD
