5 Star Cases are looking for an experienced Industrial bag sewing machine operative to join our small friendly team based in Wisbech. The successful candidate will be a hard-working and dedicated individual with a willing and enthusiastic approach to work.
Role
- Read and understand job worksheets
- To draw and cut material following established patterns/templates ensuring the correct materials are used
- Use the heat press
- Use an industrial sewing machine to make high quality bags
Skills required / Experience in the following:
- Previous experience using industrial sewing machines
- Previous experience in making industrial bags for a wide range of products
- Good English and communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team or on your own
- Happy to work in other departments depending on workload
- Overtime as and when required
In return we are offering 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and you will also accrue one additional days’ paid holiday for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days, pension scheme, on-site parking, staff discount and an Employee assistance program
The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm and Friday 7am - 3pm with 1 hour unpaid breaks. Starting rate is £13.45 per hour increasing after probation/training
