Do you like the idea of combining transport planning, problem-solving and customer service with getting out on the road and driving?
We are growing.... and we’re looking for a Transport Planner / Van Driver to join our team.
This is a genuinely varied, hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll spend part of your day coordinating deliveries, drivers and routes from the office, then get behind the wheel to complete deliveries yourself.

What will you actually be doing?
In the office
You’ll help keep our transport operation running smoothly by:
- Planning and organising daily delivery routes
- Coordinating drivers, vehicles and delivery schedules
- Monitoring deliveries and dealing with changes or delays
- Communicating with drivers and customers
- Solving problems quickly when plans change
- Helping make sure deliveries leave and arrive on time
On the road
You’ll also be out driving, completing:
- Multi-drop deliveries
- Safe loading and unloading of goods
- Customer deliveries with a professional, friendly approach
- Vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
- Time-critical deliveries while maintaining excellent service
In short: you’ll plan it, coordinate it.....and sometimes drive it yourself!
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Organised and able to manage changing priorities
- Confident communicating with customers and drivers
- Professional and customer focused
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- A confident van driver with good geographical knowledge
- Someone who enjoys solving problems and keeping things moving
You’ll need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Multi-drop driving experience is preferred, ideally 1 year or more.
- Previous Transport Planner or logistics planning experience is an advantage, but it isn’t essential
- If you have experience in delivery driving, logistics, transport coordination, warehouse operations or a similar role, and you’re keen to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
