Role Scope:
Due to a new contract win Consortio Security are looking to recruit experienced and competent Security Officers to join a well-established team in Portland , Dorset.
The successful candidates should have Logistics and Distribution experience and be confident in undertaking roles and responsibilities as part of a team or by themselves. Preferably you will also have previous Front of House experience too.
To be considered for this role you must hold an active SIA License be it Close Protection, Door Supervisor or Security Guard. You must have an in date First Aid Qualification and have high levels of Customer Service skills as the role involves working with client employees, colleagues, and site contractors.
If you do not have your own transport or are able to get to and from Portland, Dorset with ease, do not apply.

This role would suit someone who is flexible, able to think on their feet, who is able to constantly prioritise tasks ensuring that the most critical issues are dealt with first and foremost. You must be happy to be busy and pro-active whilst at work, anyone who wants a role where they are sat down for long periods of time should NOT apply. Anyone applying must be comfortable with adhering to personal boundaries at all times, poor behaviour will not be tolerated.
You must be comfortable enough to undertake vehicular and person searches and the outcomes of negative searches as and when they are identified.

All site training and induction will be undertaken prior to a deployment date of the 01st October 2026.
Job Description:
Purpose of the role: To provide an efficient and professional security service to Consortio Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of customer service.
Duties:
- Control full site access and egress, utilising the equipment and systems provided
- Conduct planned and unplanned vehicle and person searches ensuring that the integrity of the site is always maintained
- Escalate and manage any negative outcomes from person and vehicle searches professionally and robustly
- Ensure clients’ staff, property, and other assets are always secure
- Monitor CCTV footage for the protection of property and assets overtly and covertly
- Fire alarm reaction, response, and management
- First Aid reaction, response, and management
- Emergency reaction, response, and management
- Incident reaction, response, and management
- Contractor management
- Conduct sufficient internal and external patrols to ensure the security of all locations and areas
- Ensure Site Assignment Instructions, procedures and protocols are followed; being particularly diligent when in an emergency situation
- Accurately operate designated alarm systems
- Complete the daily log, noting all appropriate activity
- Produce accurate, detailed, and timely Incident Reports as and when required to do so
- Maintain any Front of House positions in a professional manner always
- Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
- Understand and accept that CCTV is utilised across site for the protection of all
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times
- Key issuance and control
- Complete all training packages assigned by your Regional Operations Manager or as requested by the client
- Be an effective ambassador for Consortio Security, always smart and diligent.
The above duties are subject to additional duties as per the site’s Assignment Instructions; however, if there is a conflict of duties, the Assignment Instructions will prevail.
Essential Requirements:
- A current SIA Licence – Carried on your person at all times whilst on duty
- Smart appearance, following the Consortio uniform requirements to the letter
