The role
A clean kitchen is a good kitchen. This role is the backbone of ours.
Your main job is keeping the Spit Roast Smithdown kitchen running clean, safe, and organised through every service - washing up, cleaning down sections, maintaining hygiene standards, and making sure the team always has what they need to keep moving. When the kitchen needs an extra pair of hands on prep, you'll step in.
It's physical, fast-paced work. We need someone who takes pride in a spotless kitchen and doesn't need to be asked twice.
What you'll be doing
Keeping the kitchen clean and sanitised throughout and after every service, washing and turning around equipment so service never stops, maintaining hygiene and due diligence records accurately, storing and handling food correctly - allergen awareness is non-negotiable, and jumping in on prep when the kitchen needs support.
What we're looking for
A hard worker who takes cleanliness seriously, someone reliable - your team depends on you showing up and getting stuck in, the ability to stay calm and keep moving when it gets busy, and kitchen experience is a bonus, but the right attitude matters most.
