We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure that each guest enjoys their experience at our café. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are made according to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing.
- Support team members as needed to create a collaborative working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
