About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced semi senior accountant to join our Wolverhampton Office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and expertise in a busy firm of Chartered Certified Accountants.
The successful applicant will work, on accountancy and tax assignments including the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and the preparation of related returns including corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns and VAT returns.
This is an office-based role and our office is located with the Creative Industries Building, Wolverhampton Science Park, WV10 9TG (free onsite parking available).
Skills required
- Experience of working within an accountancy practice is essential (minimum 4 years)
- Ideally AAT Qualified/ Part Qual ACCA
- Ability to prepare accounts and tax returns at a level ready for partner/manager review
- Experience working with sole-trader and Limited company accounts, self-assessment tax, corporation tax and VAT
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Confident but polite telephone manner
- Attention to detail with good organisation and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience using Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience of accounting packages including Sage and Xero
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
