Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station in compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to customers
- Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items
- Support the overall dining experience by ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
