Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic cook to join our small kitchen team, to help prepare food and make starters and desserts during service.
Hours are negotiable for the right candidate and pay is dependant on experience.
This can be either lunchtimes, evenings or a mixture of both, we are very flexible but we would prefer a set rota.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support the cooking team in preparing meals according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene by following proper sanitation procedures
- Help with kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and organizing storage areas
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and inventory is managed efficiently
- Serve food to guests or assist with plating to ensure presentation meets quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to meet service times and uphold a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Basic culinary skills such as meal preparation, cooking techniques, and ingredient handling
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not mandatory
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute positively to the team

Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 36.0 per week
