We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our Restaurant Managers in the day-to-day running of our busy city centre restaurants.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with the management team to ensure smooth service, maintain high operational standards and help create exceptional experiences for every guest who walks through the door.You’ll lead by example on the floor, support and develop the team, and help drive the energetic atmosphere that makes Howies special.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Restaurant Manager with daily operations
- Lead and motivate front-of-house teams during busy service periods, must have a can do attitude and understand that every service is always a real team effort with all hands-on deck.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
- Train, coach and develop team members
- Assist with rotas, staffing levels and shift management
- Complete cashing up and end-of-day procedures
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier deliveries
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene standards
- Maintain the high standards and welcoming atmosphere Howies is known for
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Manager or supervisory hospitality role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for hospitality, food and customer experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment - required
- Positive attitude with a hands-on approach to teamwork
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy seasonal periods
