Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills and ideally possess an existing Taxi licence, strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to navigate the local area efficiently.
As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and promptly while ensuring a pleasant experience throughout their journey.
Preference will be given to someone who already has a Taxi Licence or willing to get one
Hours is a minimum 35 hours but flexability is a must as there will be opportunity to do more hours when its very busy especially in the summer months so we need a driver who is keen to do the hours as when necessary.
Duties
- Safely transport passengers to their desired destinations in a timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and points of interest to provide efficient routes.
- Assist passengers with heavy luggage or other items as needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order before each shift.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle’s condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while prioritising passenger safety at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving or delivery driver experience.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with their belongings.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with passengers and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance to ensure the taxi remains in optimal condition.
