Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment, ensuring spaces are hygienic, safe, and presentable. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships, and are integral to delivering excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across designated commercial sites, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to health and safety standards
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and security
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- A professional attitude with excellent time management skills
