Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic / Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres or servicing and general vehicle maintanence on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities
- Remove, fit, and repair tyres on different types of vehicles using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct tyre inspections to identify damage or wear and recommend appropriate solutions
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Use specialised equipment to inflate tyres to correct pressure levels
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tyre fitting machinery and tools
- Assist with heavy lifting of tyres and related components safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
- General repairs on all vehicles.
- Air-conditioning servicing
- Brakes, Clutches, Wheel alignment and cam belts
Experience
- Proven experience in tyre fitting or automotive mechanical work is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and tyre mechanics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools such as tyre levers, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Experience using power tools for tyre installation and removal is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with good physical strength and stamina
- Previous experience working in a busy workshop environment is beneficial

Pay: £28,000.00-£39,257.51 per year
