Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fencing Supervisor / Surveyor and Estimator to oversee fencing projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fencing works, supervising on-site operations, conducting accurate surveys, and preparing detailed estimates. This role requires strong management capabilities, proficiency in Primavera P6, and prior supervising experience. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
This is not a pure surveying role – installation work on site is a core requirement.
Duties
- Proven experience in fencing projects, preferably within domestic and commercial sectors.
- Carry out fencing installation works (a primary duty)
- Experience leading small teams or working as a fencing foreman would be highly advantageous
- Experience surveying, measuring, and pricing fencing works.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial fencing systems; experience with agricultural fencing would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CSCS card or willingness to complete a Health & Safety Operatives course.
- Background in landscaping, arboriculture, groundworks, or construction.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable, however a strong proven track record is considered more important.
