Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team. You will provide high-quality personal care and support to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support
- Support residents to settle down for the night and assist with any needs that arise.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to call bells and resident needs
- Monitor and record resident wellbeing, sleep patterns, and any changes in condition
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and handovers
- Carry out regular checks (e.g. hourly observations, safety checks) as per care plan
- Assist with repositioning and mobility where necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in resident areas and communal spaces
- Administer medication if trained and authorised (optional, depending on role level)
- Report concerns promptly to the senior on duty or management team
- Role would include working everyother weekend.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a care setting preferred (but not essential – full training provided)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Kind, patient, and respectful attitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- We do not offer or accept Certificates of Sponsorship (COS) for this position.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the shifts
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
