We’re looking for an inspiring Head Chef to lead the next chapter of our kitchen at Robertshaw’s Farm Shop Restaurant.

As Head Chef, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen while playing a key role in shaping its future. You’ll lead and develop the team, drive standards, contribute creatively to menus, and help build a kitchen culture based on teamwork, respect, consistency, and pride in what we do.
This role would suit a chef who loves working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and wants the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
- Create and maintain a positive, collaborative kitchen culture
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Develop seasonal menus and daily specials using fresh local produce
- Manage stock control, ordering, GP, and kitchen organisation
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Support, train, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Work closely with the wider management team to drive the business forward
- Deliver calm, organised leadership during busy service periods
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fresh food environment
- A genuine passion for homemade food and exceptional ingredients
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Someone who leads by example and brings positive energy to the team
- High standards across food quality, consistency, and kitchen organisation
- Creativity and enthusiasm for menu development
- A team-builder who values collaboration, respect, and professionalism
