Role Overview:
This Field Service Engineer role is focused on the installation, servicing, maintenance, and technical support of advanced imaging and laser systems used within veterinary and dental environments.
You will work closely with customers across the UK, ensuring equipment is operating reliably and providing high-quality technical support when required. The position offers a strong balance between field-based activity and home-based technical preparation, making it an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking technical variety and long-term development.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, service, and maintain specialist imaging and laser equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and system-related faults.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers across the UK.
- Complete preventative maintenance and planned service visits.
- Carry out equipment testing and preparation activities from home.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports following site visits.
- Build strong relationships with customers and deliver a high standard of service.
- Identify potential commercial opportunities and communicate relevant information to internal teams.
Person Specification:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline or above.
- Previous experience within a field service, maintenance, installation, or technical engineering environment.
- Military engineering backgrounds are highly desirable.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with electronic, electro-mechanical, or technical equipment.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

- £42,000 - £55,000 basic salary depending on experience.
