Job Description:
The Customer Experience Assistant is at the heart of the customer experience. From providing exceptional customer service to ensuring a clean and well-presented lounge and being able to provide our passengers with an unforgettable experience when working on board. The ideal candidate should have a great eye for detail and can prioritise their daily duties according to the Lounge and train service needs, keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.
This is a multi-functional role, with different areas of responsibility throughout the working week, with some shifts focused on cleanliness and presentation of the Lounge, and others centred around customer service, both at the Eurostar Premier Lounge and on board our trains. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable individual who can perform both functions to an exceptional standard, ensuring passengers can enjoy a welcoming, clean, and friendly environment.
The Customer Experience Assistant will report to the Lounge Team Leaders, Lounge Assistant Managers when working in the Eurostar Premier Lounge and to the Service Performance Team Leader and Purser in charge of the service when working on board the train.
Key areas of responsibility (not restricted to):
· Provide excellent care and cleaning service to the Business Lounge (front and back of house) and on board
· Recognise Premier passengers and always anticipate their needs.
· Ability to multi-task while always putting customers first.
· Manage passengers’ requests in a timely and efficient manner.
· Demonstrate flexibility in shifts and in tasks and use initiatives.
· Pay attention to details and maintain high level of cleanliness.
· Ensure that Front, back of House and train areas are maintained to the highest standards always set by the company.
· Accountable for the results of the company in terms of Customer service, cleanliness, tidiness and product knowledge.
· Adhere to all company policies and guidelines (e.g. customer service attitude, grooming, Drugs & Alcohol, attendance).
· Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety and security according to Eurostar authority regulations.
· Carry out platform duties and work as a first-class cabin crew
- Ambassador of the Eurostar brand and role model.
Essential personal qualities:
· Have a passion for delivering outstanding service, greeting customers with a smile and serving them with pride.
· Extensive experience in hospitality or catering is an advantage.
· Excellent grooming standards and interpersonal / communication skills
· Comfortable in working flexible hours in a multicultural work environment where French, English and Dutch are spoken.
· Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision, creating a close relationship with the Team Leaders, Assistant Managers and pursers.
· Ability to handle often difficult situations while remaining in charge and professional and to find solutions to problems in a timely manner
The interview and selection day will take place on Saturday, 29th August 2026. If your application is successful, you will need to be available to attend on this date.
This position is recruited on a fixed-term contract from October 2026 until May 2027 on 7 hours minimum and guaranteed.
Any additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate for the role, and the candidate will have the opportunity to decline working more than 7 hours if required.
Pay: £14.12-£14.46 per hour
